Women's studies and psychoanalysis

Women's Studies and Psychoanalysis is a two-year course to study and discuss the issues of feminist theory, gender dynamics, and patriarchy in psychoanalytic thought and practice.
This course begins with an introductory and historical description of women's studies, feminist movements, and their evolution in Western countries. Students engage in a critical examination of major theories in this field. In this course, we will examine the concepts of gender, gender roles, and gender stereotypes in different cultures by reading the contrast of cultures, and we will examine the history of women's issues and movements in Iranian society in the past and present. The formation of this course is to facilitate active and self-reflective participation. In the sense that it can create a transformation both theoretically and empirically. In this course, we will examine clinical concepts in the subject matter.
At the end of the course, each student will present the results of their studies (both theoretical and clinical) in the form of a research paper.
