One-year Introductory Program

The Introduction to Psychoanalytic Theory program is designed to meet the demands of non-professionals with a rudimentary knowledge of the analytic approach, as well as psychologists and mental health professionals.

In this one-year program, those interested in psychoanalysis will gain a fundamental understanding of analytic thought, stages of psychological development, psychopathology, and the major schools of classical and contemporary psychoanalysis.

The program contributes to developing a more psychologically oriented mind and acquiring a solid knowledge base of the psychoanalytic approach but is not intended to train psychotherapists to practice. Those who successfully graduate from the course, although not qualified for clinical work as therapists, could use their certificate as a basis for entering the Comprehensive Psychotherapy Program at HamAva Institute.
